I Am Back!

After 3 years of being off this forum I am back....
 
My name is Alex and I used to have a Fluval Roma 125 planted tank with C02, I loved my tank to bits but grew tired of it and wanted to try something new.... so I broke it down.
 
I rebuilt it into a custom marine tank with a 25L sump and all was well again...
My long term Girl friend hated it as marine so was broken down again and I sold the lot.
 
The GREAT news is..... she is gone. I realised you need some one who likes the same thing you do In life.
 
SOOOOOOOOOO I have just treated my self to a New Roma 240 which arrives on Monday/Tuesday.
 
Stupidly I sold pretty much all my old gear apart from my C02 set up. So the new month or 2 are going to be expensive .
 
The EVEN better news is I have a new Girl friend with a place of our own and we have been together for just over a year. She is looking forward to the new tank......Watch this space for the build..

It certainly does help a lot to have a partner with similar interests to you.

If you want some sponges with mature filter media I just ripped out a filter. 
That's if your in the UK.  I'll send you some over

Thanks for the warm welcome.
 
I have been very busy and already gone and got 90%of the stuff that I need. Its going to me Planted Tropical with a few mini shoals of fish.  I am thinking Galaxy Rasporas, Penguin tetras and a none aggressive pair of predator like fish to keep the shoals together ( possibly a pair of Gurami ) with a clean up crew of shrimp, snails, plec and corrys.
 
In regards to the offer of filter media thank you very much but my dad still keeps fish so I have a batch of his running in a small 40l Tank set up ready to go.....
 
Just need the bloody tank to arrive. I assume is it going to be tomorrow now as there is no sight of it yet...
