well i got this divider for my tank so the convicts can stay in there too breed how do u set it up as ive only got the plastic mesh and 2 blue strips how is it ment to stick on the class???

Can you pop a picture up, or a link to the website you bought it from so we can see the picture there?

it sounds like one of those dividers that u need to sillicicone the blue strips to either side ( maybe they have suckers on? ) then slide the mesh between then, creating a fence.. but pics would be good as saz says :)

I found that making them yourself is far easier, you can buy a 4 foot by 2 foot sheet of clear plexiglass at 2mm for £13 from B&Q, must admit they were a bit perplexed when i advised them what i was doing lol. Cut to size precisely with a stanly knife or plastic cutter. Ive got 3 in my tank as i have a pair of geos, a pair of Jewel cichlids, and 2 pairs of severums. You will need to drill a lot of small holes in the top to regulate the pressure or they bow!

If you measure it right you wont need anything to stick it with it will wedge in nicely, and i just secured mine with string to the hinges of the lid!

Do you drill holes in the whole of the sheet so the heat and water can go between each side? Or do you have a heater and filter in each section?

Unfortunately cos i have 4 sections, i cant get the plug space or £££ or run 4 heaters and 4 filters. I have an internal and an external filter running and a heater. The holes cover the top 1/3 of each section and this seems fine for the tank

Sounds like the ones I have used, they usually come with two thin blue strips attached and then two to push on once you have cut the divider to the correct size (depth) if it is nto a good fit already. You then have two metal clips that you cna clip over the side of your tank, if it will take them, if you ensure you get the right width, or take it easy and gradually reduce the size the Blue Plastic pieces for enoguh suction to hold them in place.

The ones I have seen are designed for 12inch deep tanks with 12 or I think 15 inch in height.
