How To Get Snails?

I was just pondering how do people get snails?

Are they good for your tank?

Pest snails or bigger snails (like apple or assasain?). If you mean pest, they are introduced into the aquarium buy aquarium plants. Some species of snail eat aquarium plants. They produce quite alot of waste. I quite like having pest snails though, i think it gives a more natural look
