how to clear algee without using chemicals that dont even work any ideas?

It depends on what sort of algae it is an where it is growing...

My shrimp keep my plants clear but i still get algae on the glass which i use a magnetic cleaner for.

If you have a problem with excess algae you need to work out what is causing it otherwise it will only grow back.

there are lots of fish that can clean algae, but I find these dont compare to the "Algae Scraper" or "Algae Magnet"

when i get algae on glass which i dont know why doesnt seem to happen much i use an old credit card

i got 13 apple snails they keep my plants clean without eating them , marimo balls seems to be working aswell cos they soak up the nutrients that the algae needs to grow

thats becuase marimo balls are basically algae! find out whats causing it m8. i use my amano shrimp to clean the tank for me and ottos but find out the cause

Seconded - low tech but the most effective method I know. Prevention is better than cure, but for the effort involved I'm willing to do it that way.

yeah i know they are basically algae and thats why they compete for the nutrients
the children like them cos when they were out of the water my daughter thought it was a little green animal so she has now named all 10 balls lol
