For some reason our algae blenny has taken a SERIOUS disliking to our coral goby. So much so that the coral goby can no long come out in the open. I'm assuming its just because they are a similar shape but the strange thing is the blenny leaves the mandarin alone which I would think is also a similar shape.

Anyway as annoying as that is it does give us an excuse to set up the orca tank finally to rehome him in (and if we just happen to run into a pair of seahorses then I guess we could rehome them too :) ).

The only problem is I have no idea how on earth im going to catch the little guy?? Just wandering if anyone has had any experiences with using fish traps or other methods to catch fish (doubt there will be any chance of netting him out).

em em thats going to be hard

good luck mate

stripe the tank down lol have you tryed rearrangeing the rock work mate that always works for me mate

bit of a long shot but if its anything like mine then it'll love spending time in an acro. so my advice would be to buy one of those cheap fake acros and plae it in a tube or with netting around it so that when it perches in it you can lift the netting/tube and get him out.

other than that i'm stumped, as a fish trap would probably end up catching everything except what you're after!

try this i was reading a book and when you try to catch sifters it say you should get a bottle (plastic water bottle) and fill it with food diffrent types e.g krill, rawns, mussles but hes only small so i would yous mysis brine shrimp and marine mix

and tie a bit of line e.g strine-or fishing line its a hit or a mis mate just dont keep the bottle in too long with a hole load of food as they will muck with your water parameters

i am going to see if this works ill keep you posted mate

Thanks all, some good suggestions and I will give them a try :) I have been meaning to rescape for awhile now so might not be so bad having to strip the tank down a bit (just a LOT of work which I dont really have time for at the moment :( )

well i manage to get my mandarin and blue cheek goby and my baby regal tang so it works ok and i would prefer to use the fishing line but apart from that i didnt catch them i just let them swim in and out but it dose work from word i have tried
