How to breed gammarus?

Hi, I've been to a river today and I've caught two scuds, one is small and one is big (like 1cm, other is about half of 1cm), and I've been wondering how to breed them the easiest way and to make them safe and disease free for my fish?

I also caught two nymphs of something too. Are they scud-safe?

Dragonfly and Damselfly larvae will eat anything small, including fish, shrimp, Daphnia, etc. They are unwanted pests in aquariums, ponds or containers where live food is being cultured.

Gammarids are scavengers and will eat anything from dead fish, fish food, plant, etc.
Put them in a plastic storage container with dechlorinated water. Add some aquatic plants and leave them for a few months. You can put a bit of fish food in there once or twice a week. If the water goes green and cloudy that is fine.

Do partial water changes on the culture container to keep the water clean.

Most small fish won't eat Gammarus because they are too big or too tough for the fish to eat. But bigger fish (4 inches or longer) will certainly have a go at them.

Ok. The water in the vase is still cloudy a lot. I'll see what I can do tommorow and I'll take couple photos of the nymphs.

Nice one! How do I know if my scuds are dead or have molted (if they do)..

The molt will be thinner and should be somewhat see through

I'll move things around and see for at least some baby ones that I saw yesterday. They have been swimming around like crazy yesterday and today they all are dead
I don't even see my cyclops population. Only snails, flatworm, probably detritus worms, some worms.. That's it.

What size jar? Was there an ammonia spike?

Did you add any plants or anything from a.source that could have been exposed to chemicals?

I'm not sure on the size of the jar.. same with an ammonia spike.
I added water, soil, debris, a plant that was in soil (our soil not river soil) and was submerged slightly in river water. River was not contaminated with any chemicals.

I will test for ammonia, but I cannot get any water from a pond or a river..
Could I use some water from my tank?
