There was an 18x10x10 complete set up on freecycle today and I just could not help myself! Went and picked it up as two of our bettas are in a split tank at the moment and I thought they would appreciate some more room. Its just that I have heard quite a few no more tank comments from my OH and although this was completely FREE (a point which I will be labouring) I am sure I am in for a bit of a telling off. Oh well! Multiple tank sydrome strikes again!

just pleace it somewher thats not normally notices and then when your OH asks say you always had it :D

Yeah, along with that old blouse you have on.....

Great find! I'm a freecycle addict! That's where I got my 30 gallon, my 15 gallon and two 10 gallons. :hyper:

I love free cycle! But fish tanks come up rarely and go quickly round here guess I got lucky today. I think if a large enough tank came up that would be the only way my OH could be persuaded to the cichlid community he has always hankered after. Hid it in the bedroom for now! Just hope he is in a good mood when he gets home I will flutter my eyelashes and hope for the best.

yeah i was gna ask that aswell, whats free cycle? is it a magic place with free tanks?

It's a magical place with free everything! People give away things they either don't want, don't have room for, have grown tired of, etc. And mostly, they are excellent, working things. www.freecycle.org

Find your location, find the towns around you. Sign up, look around, give away your old stuff, get new stuff, keep the landfills from being overstuffed!!! It's a win-win situation. :good:

Freecycle is the best! Check it out on the addy Lynda gave it is a great way of recycling and also really good for the environment and pocket! I have had loads of good stuff from there which would have needlessly ended up at some dump which I can make good use of.

Freecycle is brill, you can give away or get anything. Its getting more popular everyday, if you have something you don't want you can advertise it on here and you can guarantee someone local will want it. Or if you need anything, ask, and if anyone has one spare they will give it to you. It was to try and keep things that still have some use out of the landfill site. I've got rid of and received many things. I've even seen things like cars and caravans wanted and given away. Just google it in and you should be directed to your nearest site if there's one in your area, I think its through Yahoo.

Congrats on your new tank Tubbylala!!! I'm sure when you've set it up your OH will love it! :good:

Fish tanks are hardly ever on my freecycle and when they are they go like lightning!
