I took this photo at the aquarium shop. Don't take any notice of the guy he was an innocent bystander. This poor little fish is living in hell. His water was putrid. I asked to buy him but he would not sell him to me. I told him he must put it in a bigger container or he will die. His answer was they live in puddles. :X Shocking don't you think....he's probably a display item to show people the small containers available @$4.95 to house your betta.

Ive seen these in the Goldfish bowl in Oxford, they're more aesthetically pleasing to the eye than this one but still small :(

It looks small enough to shoplift.....do it, you know it's for the greater good!

These are tiny we had them and the large ones where I work. The large ones would be perfect thaw however not :(

Makes me think of the few girls I see them do that to she had fin rot, ich, fungus... I felt so bad for her and got the same thing as you mind you it was a goldfish bowl...

Oh and while I am thinking about it, you can almost always find a puddle that has fish in it when the water sweeps them out of where they were. I have found Perch, a few blue catfish, and my favorite a puddle with a Yellow Tang. It is amazing what you can find in areas where flooding has occured.

 I always feel so badly for bettas when I see them trapped in little cups. I don't see how anyone could reasonably keep a fish like that and feel alright about it.

that's actually a tad bigger than the cup I just bought my new betta in. it's terrible. I really wanted to "rescue" some of those poor things but of course couldn't. I think one betta was even DEAD and a few weren't far off. At least I rescued one and he's a happy little fish for it.

Yes I thought about shoplifting the poor thing but pictures of me being arrested made me shy away. Its too fully in view to try and take and you would notice it missing. Im picturing myself in jail discussing our crimes to my cell mates What are you in for Assault and bank robbery. What are you in for Oh I stole a fish. Ha ha ha ha. I'll keep asking the guy to sell it to me. Now if you believe in re incarnation just remember to be good to your fellow man and good to your fish.....otherwise you may come back as a fish in a small bowl :D

Gees, that fish must've done something terrible then  They could have atleast filled the bowl up completely with water...

Went into local feed shop to get dog food and they had about 10 bettas in those tinsy divider 'tanks' that house like 5 bettas...I wanted to take them all home :( I almost did take one home who was the healthiest out of the lot but I don't have anything to put them in.
