I'll vac every other week in the tanks with gravel, bare bottom tanks get a quick vac once a week. Keeping a small plec & a few corys in every tank lets them do the work for me as far as the glass, plants, and such.

I hve so may effective bottom feeders in my 29gal tank that i rarely clean it. i only clean it wen i can see a build up of crap on the bottom. )
