So I got my 10 gallon set up and bought some more wood for it but how much is to much? With this new one it's 3 nice chunks and one small chunk. I plan to have a nice amounts of plants as well. So far each of my 5 gallons has one of the chunks and my ph is fine. Also how should I store any extra, all I have is my 10 gallon to store it.

It depends on what type of fish you want to keep and how many. The more stuff you put in the tank the more water gets displaced so the less gallons the tank will hold. Yes some wood like bogwood will lower the ph this can be great for some fish and bad for others. So decide on what fish you want and how many you would like. If you want the tank to be a planted tank mainly with very few fish I think having a good amount of wood will look fantastic and will not effect the few fish you have.

So really it all depends on a few things.

To be honest, the wood will not lower the water PH that much. And most LFS bought fish (Freshwater) will be tank bred and will be use to PH changes, so this will no fase them that much (Except sensitive fish such as discus). You can put as much wood as you like in your tank, Obviously not going too mad with the idea and literally packing it in. Just make sure it looks nice and natural, and there is plenty of swimming room for the fishies.
