Hi guys. Is there a calculation you can use to work out how much air you should have pumping into your tank? Really unsure if I have too much or not enough

Don't know of any calculator
If you've got a planted tank then then you don't want much as the air will drive off the CO2 that the plants need.
If you are cycling the tank then you can't have too much as the beneficial bacteria need O2 to thrive and grow.
As long as there's a decent amount of water movement at the surface that will promote sufficient gaseous exchange for most tanks.
Bubbling air thro water doesn't in itself increase the O2 in the water - it's the movement at the surface that does it.

There is no calculator to calculate how much air goes into tank via pump & airstone.
Have never seen an air volume calculator for that and one is not needed to be entirely honest.

Mamashack nailed it on the head there.

It's the surface agitation that promotes co2 into the water column through gaseous exchange.

This is one reason why filters have sprayers and flow output thats basically at the water level height, to create ripples / agitation along water surface.

Airstones makes pretty bubbles in the tank and kinda looks cool but in actual fact does not do an awful lot unless its creating lots of water agitation at surface.
