Here are some pictures of my pregnant platy: http://s1255.photobucket.com/albums/hh628/AnimeFreak360/My%20Tropical%20Fish/Pregnant%20Red%20Wag%20Platy/

How much longer until she has fry? I think she's been pregnant for about a month, maybe less. The male is either a panda or a red wag like the female. Also, the fifth picture shows my sunset platy. Is she pregnant too?

as soon as u see her so calm and steady in her swimming or even hiding in caves or standing on the filter or something u should move it asap to its breeder

She looks very close, and she's either squaring off or is already square (I can't tell). When she has a white dot near her bottom fins, and she's completely square, fry will come soon after that. I can't tell with the other platy, sorry, but she does look close as well. Hope this helps! :good:

ooft, she's big! very very soon IMO!

:D yay! I'll be getting a fry net on saturday, so hopefully it won't be any earlier!

As long as you have lots of plants, they should be fine if she drops earlier than Saturday. :good:

Sadly, there are only three plants, and they don't provide much cover. I may have to move the her into my heavily planted tetra/betta tank if possible.

I would not move her in to a tank with bettas, bettas will hunt the fry down :(

She is very very close.

I would actually trap her now, if she aint dropped after 24 hours, release her (i would usually say 48 hours but she is big and minimal stress on her)
Out the lights when you trap a fish, feed her a little food. cover the tank if in a well lit room.

I know you may not have a trap, but this will help you for future refrence.

also check out my article, it will give you everything you need to know, its located on this forum, CLICK HERE

Good luck.

Ok, thanks for the link. I'll just have to hope she doesn't drop for another two days.

She's pregnant again, just a bit smaller than last time :yahoo: At least now I have the fry net!

Yay, more pictures! I should really do a different thread for this, it's starting to stray off topic.
