I have noticed that my platy has been pregnant for about 4 weeks now. I have read that she should be having babies any time after four weeks. I have put her in a breeder trap, but I always have to take her out because she had been in there for over 36 hours. Here are some pictures of her today. You can't really see it in the pictures, but you can see the fry's eyes in her belly. I'm trying to guess when she will give birth.

I'll put money on Tonight whilst its dark in the tank.

if i was you id put her back in there for one more night

she one fat fish holding atleast 40 fry at a guess

and thats also a stunning guppy you have

oh, nice girl...good luck for your fry platies

well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! did she have them? dont keep me waiting, im pulling my hair out here :hyper:

hopefully she'll have them soon, not sure she can hold them much longer  i'm going to guess around 60 if small or 30 if larger

increase the temp of the tank by 2 degrees if you want this will speed things up for her and wont harm her or the fry at all.

come on girl........PUSH!!!!!!!!!!

One of my Sunsets looks huge too and is due any day so I share the frustration!

No babies... Is it a good idea to have her in a breeder box? I don't want to lose that many fry, but I'm guessing that a little two way breeder isn't enough room for 30-60 fry. So, should I take her out?
