How Many Tanks Do You Have?

we sort of have our own tanks. shes not my wife just feels like it (in a good way of course)

her tanks are the 3 shes had before we got together mine are 2 i`ve had for a while, and we share the tang tank we got together.

i get to do all the fun stull like water changes and cleaning filters,,,, she gets to..... arrange plants

Ahhh OK. I like arranging plants, too. It makes things look all pretty. Except, my fiance has stopped his willingness to buy more plants, because we spent $40 on them, only to have them all die, cause we didn't know how to look after them properly.

...this might be a stupid question, but why do you guys have so many tanks?

most aquarist are afflicted with a disease that we affectionatly call MTS (multiple tank syndrome)
MTS is incurable but you can relieve the symptoms by adding another tank.

I'm a level 5 sufferer

I feel soory for you wolf really i do i my self am only at level 3 but am trying to keep the MTS at bay using a new method called "High tech planting" it cost so much it makes your bank manager go bald but it seems to be working.

have three fish tanks working that are set up
1 three foot custom (180 litres) which is a community tank
1 two fot tank (for baby guppies, platies, swordtails etc)
1 36 inch tank that is home to goldfish - three black moores and 3 comets.

Ive got 4 tanks.
1st is my Juwel Rekord 70 which just has 2 cichlids in.
2nd is my 90l which is a big(ish) fish community
3rd is my Juwel Rio 125 which is a planted community tank.
4th is a 52l which has plants in and babie fish.

Hahaha, when I got my first one I was told that that would be it and I wouldnt be alowed another. Well 3 years on and Ive got 3 more.

I'm at 6 at the moment (though I have a 4 foot and a 6 foot spare with nowhere to put them):

They range from about 5 to 150 imperial gallons and incorporate fresh abd saltwater. All of them are filtered by sumps, so no silly plants to get in the way of me keeping larger and nastier fish. B)

Total actual number of tanks is 13 including all the tanks employed as sumps. This wil obviously grow once I move and have room for my marine fish room.

well , i bought my first in september , and now i have three! < granted , 1 of them is just a 5 gal ( i want either a dp ,betta or maybe multi's ) which i am still undecided on what exactly to do with >

Four Tanks here: One 4ft Brackish Tank,
One 4x2x2 Malawi Tank
One 15 gal Brackish Tank
20 gal for my Malawi Crab.

Getting our 5th Tank hopefully this weekend a 195 gal for the Brackish Fish that are in the 4ft at the moment.

It's an addiction.

Well, I kinda feel like my fiance and I are working our way up in the world!!! We recently acquired a US 60 gallon and boy does it look amazing in our little apartment!!! So we now have 3... except it will be down to 2 soon (one being all MINE), cause we're moving all our fish (except for MY fish) into the big one, and we'll be keeping the 13 gallon as a fry tank, cause I want to breed platies sometime in the future!
