How Many Media Trays Does The Tetratec Ex600 Have?

Im interested in getting one of these, but how much media trays does it have?

Also would it be to overpowering for a 48 Litre/12 Gallon tank? Because I cam't decide whether to go with the ex400 or ex600.

I cant tell you exactly how many the 400 or 600 have but the 1200 has 4 trays and you get enough media with them to sink a ship so no need to worry about ordering extra.

for 48 litres, i would probably get the 400, perhaps if you are having a lot of plants in there the 600

also it depends on the fish you are keeping, the less powerful one will have less circulation in the tank, some fish dont like a constant battering from the filter and like dead spots to sleep/hang out in. So with that in mind and looking at your stock levels in your signature, i think i would personally go for the 400.

What do you have in there at the moment? I would imagine a fluval 1/2+ would be quite sufficient? An external might be overkill, you dont want a whirlpool

I have a Fluval at the moment but it just doesn't do the job. The tank isn't long like most 10 gallons, it is more square in shape.

I've got a fluval Roma 90 litre with a fluval 2+ and it does an ok job. How do you mean its not doing its job? Are you struggling with ammonia/nitrite etc?

It has 4 media trays.

Just go for the ex600, for the price difference you may as well, it wont be too much, I have a 700 running on a 54 litre.
