Hi all,
I am fairly new to keeping tropical s but i was wandering what is the recommended amount of fish to keep. I have a 55us galloon tank and i am interested in neon tetras, dwarf Gouramis. Fish which are good for community tank. I have read guidelines which is 1 us galloon to 1 inch of fish. Does this sound like a good start. I also have a small angel fish and 2 silver sharks and Rasboras and all seem happy.
As i have housed my aquarium in a conservatory i did have lots of problems with temperature and algae and tried all sorts. Now i have a UV filer and a cooler which is great. So no orrible green water and a nice stable temperature.
Just out of interest my tank used to start at 8 am at 26c then go up to 28-30 by 2-4 pm then return to 25. Is that damaging to the fish? those extremes
