How long...?

In my opinion... put her in a seperate tank now or in a breeding net(those small ones are awful).

but if you put her in a breeding net:

Let me caution you that it is VERY stressful for preggers to stay confined for longer than a day. If she doesn't give birth, remove her, or raise the temp, as i mentioned before. DO NOT allow her to be confined for more than 2 days, as this could cause death after birth [for mommy], still born fry, or birth defects...

i would'nt move her right now because she is heavily pregnant and may abort if you put her in a small tank or try to net her. also try feeding her some live foods
and change her water more frequently.

good luck :D

She's had a black gravid spot for a looooong while. I'll try and take another photo tonight ;)

Here she is again - these were took today. Not a HUGE amount of difference in size from the last photo (considering the time that's passed (in my opinion...but then, I'm no expert either, mind) but she DOES have a large black gravid spot...

Wow, she's one big girl! She's looks exactly like one of my girls, Pepper, who always was pregnant for a long time too.

It looks like she is starting to get a little squarish looking in the belly. So...probably she will have her babies pretty soon. That's my guess, anyway.

HELP! :dunno: The white of her eyes have turned black. Is this normal, or is she ill?! It has happened during the last 6 hours. What do I do? :-(

12 hours later, and I've noticed that the 'white' of her eyes turns black every few minutes. What's happening?! At one extreme, they look normal, and at the other extreme they look solid-black (which looks kinda freaky, actually)...

Any suggestions?!

My guppy gave birth to about forty (I am guessing cos they won't stay bloody still  !!) fry six weeks ago and a couple of days prior to giving birth I noticed the same symptoms on my fish.

I am not a guppy expert but maybe it means she is getting closer and your wait is almost over :hyper:

Let us know how you get on.

Thanks John, I feel better now :)
Although she's STILL pigging out! :X
I really hope I don't miss "it"!

:hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: I now have a "fry tank"!! She gave birth, and I saved 21 fry. I'm not sure whether she stopped there, but that's as many as I managed to save and put in a separate tank. They're SOOOO small! Thanks to all of you guys who helped them along xx :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:
