how long should a mature tank take to process ammonia i have just done a water change i tested my water befor and everything was as it should be ive just tested it again now and the ammonia and nitrite have risen slightly is this normal ?

No it is not normal for ammonia/nitrite to go up after a water change.

How long has the tank been set up? Did you clean the filter at all?

the tank has been running for a while now i wash just doing a spot of gravel vacing so replaced the water lost during the process all fish seem fine tho
