How Long Will This Cycle Take?

I've put a brand new small aquaball in my 55 gal for my 12 gal. How long do u think it will take to cycle?

A while id imagine, the ammount of ammonia present in the 55 will be minimal due to the bacteria in your main filter utilizing it Id give it a good month of use to be sure.

How are you finding the aquaball? Ive got the smallest model in the 20 as a powerhead and I quite like it the venturi feature is nice too.

I like it! Nice and quiet although I was thinking of putting a few of my bio rings in, what do you think? What is a venturi feature?

Id imagine bio-balls would be ok as i said mines only a powerhead so i only use the original sponge and blast it clean every now and then

Venturi feature, its the snorkle that pulls in air from the surface and shoots it accross your tank
