im gonna do 3 guppys because guppys survive in brackish and i guess im gonna have to start from scratch,+ the puffs can eat the guppies after the cycling is over, so my plan is get 3 guppies in there and plop them in,wait 2 weeks or so?

? Why? From all your posts I get the general feeling you aren't that bothered about the fish, just having a 'cool' tank. I really wonder about people sometimes...

thats how i would normally feel, but for these puffs i wanna make a good enviroment for them and it will pay of, so will this work?, 3 guppies?

I have always cycled my tanks. However, My father does not cycle tanks and has never had fish die. I know other people who have never cycled and not had any problems except maybe a guppy dying. They always tell me "Just don't buy expensive fish for a while"

I prefer to cycle as I know its fair on the fish, But I have witnessed these fish looking rather happy in uncycled tanks.

You have several posts scattered about the site. According to those, you're doing a fishless cycle. Even if that's a lie, guppies are the worst fish to use (even though using fish at all in unnessecary), and they won't get eaten by the puffers. They can 'survive in brackish', but require very careful acclimation over a long period of time.

I recall you also wanted to look after the eel properly, and look how that ended up...

if ur not gonna help me fishy stop sending me posts,im doing a huge water change, what fish should i add in?

Well thats because after awhile the fish's wastes will build up creating ammonia and the tank will eventually cycle, whether they know this is not theyre doing a fish cycle, something that is extremely stressfull.

i thought i was doing a cycle but apprerently i wasnt so stop hassling me, i am here and i wanna keep the fish alive so instead of hassling me fishy, would plz give me some guidance?

Why cycle with fish? You claim you want to give you puffers a 'good environment', which won't happen when you have other, incompatable fish, or most important, a big enough bacterial colony. Both those problems can be avoided by going to a shop and buying a bottle of ammonia.

explain?ok im gonna start the fishless cycle 8), thanks for the help fellas
