How Long Will A Firemouth Take To Colour Up?

got a pair of firemouth cichlids yesterday and they are quite pale. the other slightly smaller ones in the shop were much darker. will mine colour up more and become more blue as they are very washed out at the moment?

The best way to get them to colour up is go with a dark substrate. They colour up accordingly.

Give them chance, feed them up well on frozen food. One of my LFS recommend to not feed them bloodworm as they don't deal with it well, but any others will be fine. No idea if this is true though.

Your tank looks very nicely set up for them.
