yea well i got a pet shop right next to my school and i have to ride a bus home and that will take 1 hour maximum. so can the fish be able to survive the trip in the bag they get put in. i also have to hide the fish in my bag but ill do it safely :*) just wondering if i can

Oh yea one more question how do u put the air in the bag like the lfs i try and try but i cant get it as tight and fulled with air as theres lol :look:

1 hour should be okay
As you said, you should put it in a place as dark and quiet and as stable as possible too

Theres a type of way to tie the bag, i learnt when i worked at an LFS once, it's hard to explain though
Hard to get it right the first few times but then you get the hang of it,

maybe just ask your lfs employee and he will show you :)

-ya they will be fine

- they use a pressized air pump to make it air tight.

I've seen fish at an auction do fine after being bagged for over 12 hours. There will be no problem with them being bagged for an hour.

fish dont consume that much oxygen, and there is oxygen in the water as well

Edit: oh yeah, i think their tanks are pure oxygen too, so that gives the fish even more time

1/3 water, 2/3 air, the usual bagging procedure. I've gotten to auctions at 8 am with fish I've started bagging at 5 am. Auctions run until 8 pm at times, I don't get home until after 9 pm. After acclimating fish aren't in the tank until 10 or later. They don't run out of air.

Last time I picked up an assortment of small corys & plecs, along with a few platys, a couple dozen fish total. They're still in the same quar tank, keeping it cycled until I need it. Haven't lost one, although I had a dojo loach jump out a few weeks ago. :( That tank had one of the tightest tops, he must have found the 1/2" gap where the filter flows in, & swam/jumped upstream.

because they need to be calm and stress free during their stressful journey from tank to tank :)

Why do you have to hide the Fish!!!
lol No animals in the bus~ :/ ill have to be sneaky~

oh yea and do u think Yo Yo loaches or Cories would be fine with two kribs that could be a pair? i was thinking of getting 2 yoyo or 4 cories i wont get them if my Kribs beat the Living out of them just wondering if anyone knows

yo yo's are rapid swimmers, I've kept kribs with them and there has never been a problem.
Cory's should be ok, but they seem to concentrate on parts of gravel so a krib may sneak up on them. It's neons you should worry about with kribs
