Hi,

I have just finished treating my 64 litre tank for fresh water limpet, using "no planaria" - people seemed unsure as to whether this would work, but I can add another positive result - I think it has killed them all!

So before I treated, I removed my assassin snails as they would be killed by the treatment. I also removed the carbon from the filter.

I treated as per the instructions, treating for 96 hours in total to ensure killing of all the limpets. This morning I performed a 25% water change, and put a new carbon sponge in the filter casing.

How long before I can return my snails to the tank?

Hi there

I recently had to treat my tank for white spot. The medication also made the tank inhabitable for inverts. After the treatment I added a bag of carbon. I was advised on here that after a few days it would be fine to add inverts. I can also confirm that the pest snails, which were present at the time of me treating the tank, flourished afterwards to the point that I had to get 3 assassins.

In short, 3 days seemed to be fine, a week will definately be safe in my opinion.

Thanks :) My assassins are currently on holiday in a tupperware :)
