ive started my fish in cycle
and within two days i have 0.25 ammonia and 0.5ppm of nitrite...the filter is brand new! no bacterial supplements

all thats in their are 7 ember tetras and a load of plants and rock...dont worry im doing an 80% water change as we speak.

NH3/4+ 0
NO2 0
NO3 10

Maybe the waste levels arn't high in the first place?

As far as i know embers are not high waste producers at all. It is odd though

i didnt wash my tubes properly so the residue from the ammonia test altered this one
