How Do You Make Your Own Small Sponge Filter?

i just want a small one for a 1.5 gallon tank, but all the guides i get on google are for huge things which i just cant seem to downsize to make it work on a smaller scale.
i remember last year someone posted a guide on here to make small ones but now i cant find it, any ideas?

good question! i just made two smallish ones out of old fish food containers and they work GREAT...but would be way too big for a small tank like yours so im interested myself.

thats pretty much exactly what i just made.....ive seem some with literally just a sponge and airline tubing, though...do they work as well as this "canister" design?
any info would be nice (sorry for the hijack)
