i knew when is was getting old
when a kid came up to me and called
me a gray haired old f**T i am only
in my forties

I;m 34 and starting to realise it

I;ve been in the same work for 9 yearsand met my wife there who was my secretary. I used to be a contender for all the nice young ladies who worked there but now I;m more a father figure and an old perv lol The worrying thing is I believe you get worse as you get older!!

I also know that my knees ache and I get tireder than I used to but on the flip side I know I'm wiser, far more confident, I don;t give a hhot what anyone else thinks of anything I do and I enjoy all of that

You said it si ya ole perv....

I knew i was getting old when i gav my neice's friend a lift home they sat in the back and i did not understand half of what they were talking about

Its alright guys, i'm 23 and I feel old.

No other "yoof" these days seems to have any idea about respect, especially respect your elders, and manners have dissapeared off the face of the planet.

Also, what happened to good music?

And bring back damned steam trains, it's already been proven they're more efficient and better for the environment than diesel!!

I was born in the wrong decade I swear.

AGREED

I knew I was getting old when I started groaning when getting out of a bed/car/chair.

I'm 24 and I have the same thing! (And you're right - there hasn't been any really good music for several years!)

I knew I was getting old when I started groaning when getting out of a bed/car/chair.

I started doing that when I was about 19 LOL.

What worried me was when, at the ripe old age of 18, I went into Rios (the rock and metal nightclub that I frequented at the time) and suddenly realised that I was one of the oldest people there. That was scary.

Yeah I get that too, go to a decent gig and all of a sudden, I feel like a babysitter in a mosh pit (I don't like mosh pits, i'm there to enjoy the band)

There's only a couple of modern bands I really follow, InMe, Envy of the State..Um. Struggling now.

Most of my album collection is made up of AC/DC, Aerosmith, Ozzy, Soundgarden and Audioslave, !Therapy, Thin Lizzy, Offspring, Nirvana, plenty of classic 80s and 90s mainstream rock really.
The rest is bad punk rock, some J rock and the doors.

nothing wrong with punk
punk was a fresh taste
in music in 77 when the
sex pistols had god save
the queen in the charts
i went to the jubilee
party in denim jacket
ripped T shirt and bleach
marked cords with DM's
on i suppose i got bitten
by the punk bug it was
to be different to anyone
else i am in my forties
now and still like punk
but now i also like classical
music as well

Good to know there's other listeners out there.

I've only found 1 good punk band in the modern world. Skintight Jaguars, london based punk band, they're so arragant they refuse to sign to a record label haha. Really good live though, full of raw energy.

It's a shame the pistols had to split, near the very end of their era they released some absolutely blinding songs; Stepping Stone is one of my all time favourite songs.

I'll listen to all music really, but pretty much avoid modern pop music, it's all digitalised and crap. And they don't know the meaning of lyrics.

I found my first grey hair when I was aged just 18yrs!! Oh my gawd the panic that caused me...but thankfully it was a one-off (caused by silly dieting my GP said) and I didn't see any more appear until in my late thirties LOL (but my best friend Clairol helps me deal with any stray greys LOL)

I wouldn't say I feel old, as such, but I have noticed my energy levels are not what they used to be!

As for music, well as I'm in a band that plays solely 60s music, I guess you can tell where my preference lies LOL :band:

I knew I was getting old at the age of 35 when I started suffering with symptoms of an early menopause: Aching joints, hot flushes, mood swings etc....(poor hubby)

It`s been all downhill from there really and I feel like I`m an 80 year old most days.

Awww, Elise...well if your avatar pic is you, then you certainly don't look as old as you feel!

Try Starflower oil...brilliant stuff!
