I feed a wide variety of foods... and as such, have some foods I like, but hate the packaging...
my favorite packaging right now, are the plastic jars, pictured below... my least favorite are the Zip lock type bag packaging... I have some larger gallon size ( like the big size tubiflex came in ) but those require a special place to put them... when I set up my tanks 30 yeas ago, i did so with about a 4 inch wide shelf, behind the tanks, in the work area, and the pictured jars fit perfectly there, and when I empty one, I dump out a zip bag into one, and reuse the jar... it would be nice if the labels peeled off easier, but I'll write over the old label, with a black marker, and that works good enough for me...

what do you put your food into???

Honestly? Looking at my shelf - yogourt containers, feta cheese containers and old peanut butter jars (plastic ones)...

Between the fish, tarantulas, and herps I collect and reuse a lot of different containers both plastic and glass. In fact its kind of funny, if my wife cleans stuff out of the fridge she comes to me with old glass salsa jars or other containers and asks me if I want them before she throws them out lol. It's a habit for her at this point.
A good container that hasn't been mentioned yet is old prescription medicine containers.

I've not used the prescription containers as of yet... I do take one, that is horse pill big, 4 pills a day, so I've been saving those largest pill bottles, but the smaller ones, size of the bug bites container, I've been just pealing the label and tossing in recycle..

I use pill containers for fry foods - powdered types. I take a med where you could carve the pills to make bobsleds, so the containers are good, and seal tightly.

I use a mix- I recycle older platic jars with lids which I got when I bought the fish food they originally contained. I also use smaller mason jars and for my flakes I use a large Oxo air tight resealable. I started out using these for my coffee as I hate the resealable bags in which it comes.

With my first Ebo- Aquaristik order I froze the excess before I learned that they tell users not to do this as it degrades the food. They tell folks to refrigerate which is what I now do. Most of my foods do get stored frozen and I refill the smaller containers from there. Frozen foods are always stored in their original containers which are pretty much always plastic bags or the smnall cube contaner where you pop out a cube to feede it.
