How Do You Get Coral Of Ordamnets

Hi

Just got second hand ordament and they are cover with coral. Not much just bits here and there, and inside.

Any ideas to get it of. Getting inside is quite tricky.

They are tree root resin ordaments.

What do you mean coral? You normally only get coral in a marine tank, and don't normally have ornaments in a marine either. Any chance you could take a pic?

If you mean coralline algae then you could try soaking in vinegar and water overnight then scrubbing. But like fishy said, why would a root ornament be in a SW tank? Are you sure its coralline algae? I have a root ornament sitting around and it is designed with that white-ish algae effect

That probably came from the sea as it appears to have calcium carbonate deposits on it, if it is calcium carbonate vinegar will remove it.
