Well my mum is wanting a betta and she likes the bowls you can get for fish- not the tiny ones, the one we are looking at is atleasat 15 litres.
The problem is, it doesn't come with a filter....so how would i filter it, i was thinking a under gravel filter? would it be possible in a bowl? or would it be better to get the normal fish tank.

thanks :)

the biorbs (which are bowls) come with under gravel filters, the up pipe is in the centre, so yes I think the would be the way to go with it :good: you'd be hard pressed to find anything else that works.

Another option would be a sponge filter. Again you would place the lift tube in the center of the tank.

thank you both :) also, what about heating? and lighting?. i was thinking with lighting maybe a lamp- not too bright- over the top....but what about heating?

haha :p i was looking at some good ones online....21L with light, filter for $100 -which includes the $20 postage. Will see what my mum thinks about it

thanks :)

One of the kits would make more sense than trying to source all the pieces yourself, if she's really set on a bowl.

I think we found a nice one. It is kinda like a triangle and it slides into the corner. Its 21L so will have to start saving :)
