How Do Fish Shops Filter All The Tanks?

Pets at home, near me is a nightmare, i refuse to get anything from there...

One had whitespot, one with saddleback, other with fungus etc... i was shocked, the women serving told me when i approched her about this, the tanks are treated every week and well looked after

She then said, look whats your problem, if you buy the fish you get a 7 day garauntee, if it dies just bring it back...

I'm ashamed to admit this...

I used to work at pets at home  and 5teady you're completely right. I had no knowledge of fish keeping when I started there, but I certainly didn't learn anything. I've had a tank since November and have learnt more in this time than I did the whole time I worked there.

The shipment would come in on a wednesday, and we'd put the fish in the tanks, they weren't allowed to be sold that day. But the next day were on sale, who knows how many of them could have been ill. I could tell you so many things (although now I know better) that would make you cringe!!! To be fair to some of the people that work in there it's not their fault if their managers or whoever don't bother to train the new staff properly! No excuse tho...
