How Big Is This?

only asking as i'm planning my betta tank and some people say they need a filter some say they don't so confusing

i wouldn't need a heater my house is always warm enough for my fish

i duno about lights though if i put it in my bedroom it would get plenty of light but not direct sunlight

would you say i'd be ok?

hope her fins get betta (sorry about the pun)

Mine are doing great w/o filters. Mine dont have lights either, and again they're doing great. Plus, they're all in one gallons, and the boys both make bubblenests, and Ariel is very happy

i'm thinking of 2 betta one on each side of the divide

and then put some malaysian livebearing snails on both sides (their great for cleaning gravel and general cleaning up)

and maybe some shrimp but as ghost shrimp are realativly expensive here (£1.50 in most lfs by me ) i duno if i'll go with them....

i'll probably try river shrimp which are cheap here according to some people ( 60p for around 30 )

Yep! Never had experience with shrimp, but in the aquarium we used to have, loved the snails .

Awww shes adorable!! a pinch of salt and good quality water should fix that tail right up! I managed to find good homes for all of my adopties, but will have more ready in a month or so, maybe you'll have room then I love rescuing bettas!! I'm off to a bad wal*mart this weekend to hand out fliers, post care sheets and throw a fit if the fish are being poorly taken care of Have fun with ur new girlie!!!

Yay! Save the little Walmart bettas . I'm too afraid to look at the bettas at our Walmart. It would make me want to rescue more! Ariel has clamped fins and a huge chunk of her tail missing So I'm going to have to get some salt and such for her.
