Hostile guppy fry

SInce I started school in October I haven't had much time to just look in on the guppies lately. They are in my son's room and when I get home he is usually alseep (or he better be anyways lol)..but anyways... I've been getting my mom to change 1/2 of the water every 2 weeks and add new as it needs it. Well I got to come in to work late today so I went in to see how they were doing, if they'd grown, ect..

And OMG...they have grown, well 2 of them (the girls I think). They are like twice the size of the 3rd (the pretty one)...and what did I spy when I went to feed them......

...A fry! A single solitary fry...it was eating right in amongst them. It was soooo cute and teenineey! It was eating flakes just like it was a big boy (or girl)...but lol to get it from the surface it had to give it such a yank, that it would dart backwards about 2" lol...then it would swim back up and get another bite.

Is it ok to just feed it flake food, if it's eating it? I've never even thought about a fry before..I guess while I', off these next 2 weeks I'll move them from that tank over to the 10 gallon I just have snails in in my room, but..now that I say that I dunno how to get the little guy out of there..he's hard to see lol...and too tiny to net.

*oye* Why can't they just be good little fishes and be celebate!

Congrats! Guppies do grow fast, and it appears at least one grew up.

It's fine to feed him on flake food, but it'd be good to alternate in some high-protein food every once in a while. Also, it's best if you can feed 4-6 times per day. If that's not possible, try to get some live plants (mossy plants or water sprite or things like that work best) so the fry can nibble on the organisms on there.

I am very used to mosquito fish and guppies and I think that the one on the far left in the last pic is a mosquito if one of them is. can you tell us which one is the bully?

i am not sure about anyhting cuz the pics are a little bit fuzzy

Thanks...yeah I told my mom to make sure she fed them more often. There is already a live plant in there..so hopefully that will make up for any lack of feeding.

Actuallly...after watching them yesterday, they all seem to have settled down and aren't bullying each other anymore...which I was glad of.

I just can't get over how cute this little thing is..and bold to boot. It'lll just come right up to the glass and check you out lol, and it' stotally not afraid of the others either..it will just butt right up in between them and nab some flake.

I think that the one on the far left in the last pic is a mosquito

I think you are right..I think the 2 females are Mosquito fish. I pulled them out and put them in a 10 gallon..and now I have 5 fry lol.
