Hospital Tank

i am going to be setting up a hospital tank but im real bothered on how would i keep the levels stable when t is not occupied?

Run the hosp tank filter in your main tank, that will keep it cycled. Or add extra media to your main filter and just take it out and place in hosp tank filter when needed.

so what you mean is...
when the hospital tank is not occupied, just put the hospital tank filter into the main tank and when it is need does put it back into the hospital tank?

Edit to add: If, of course, whilst being used in the hosp tank, you have deaths, then I would advise to throw out the media in the filter and start from scratch with new media, before placing it back into the main tank - just to be on the safe side.
