Honey Gouramis

Hi i have 2 honey gouramis i have had them for about a month and all they do is sit at the top of the tank moving now and then to have a swim is this normal for there breed.

It's normalish. They do like the top region of the tank and they're very slow moving fish. Though mine do move all about the tank. What other stocking do you have? What size is the tank? was it cycled?

i have 3 tetras, 1 mollie, 2 platy and the gouramis its a 48l yes it was cycled been going for about a year now there both just huddled together sat at the top near the filter.

They're probably ok then. Have you tested your water recently?

I know they do like floating plants so if you got some of them (if you don't already) then it would make them feel safer

Will go and get some can you just buy them from the local aquarium
