Holy Shrimp!

They both have there pluses and minuses but i keep cichlids and when i put any shrimp in there with them there toast , or should i say shrimp cocktail lol. Snails i don't have a problem with either except the cichlids tend to keep there population under control. I got a dozen of the spiral pointy shaped pest snails and when i droped them in 3 got eaten right away and the rest took off for cover at a snails pace. Some did survive the food response and now i want them to breed some.

What do you call inchworms in the UK? Centimeter worms?

Britsh created (for better or worse) the imperial system (which includes Inches as a measurement). Used by Americans (& called Mil, thouands of an inch).

We have the French to thank for metric (Le Grande Metre and all that) & the insistence that everyone uses this system in Europe: Meters, Kilos and Litres etc. - and thank God for it, sooooo much simpler!

He he he! Amusingly we call them inchworms. Two and a half centimetre worms would be funny though!

You'd like it here - we get to use both systems - I still go to my deli and ask for half a pound of ham!

Guess what? I was working in my tank and I pushed back the light. Apparently, I pushed one side back too far, and it fell into the water. Bzzzzz!!! I'm fine, though. Getting shocked fells really bad. At least I didn't break a glass heater. That could have done some serious damage. My light's broken, but it could have been worse.

on the thread topic, i have 2 rock shrimp, who spend most of there time out of sight over an air stone!!! though they are a treat when they do. my shrimp have made not attempt to escape, as yet, they seem to leave that to the crabs. lol thing about shrimp is, you keep finding dead shrimp, but the number you have never gets less!!! you aint got dead shrimp, just they shead their shell just like crabs. its spooky when it first happens though

Lol i know what you mean about those holes, i had a hatchet jump out one of those . I have them completly covered now though. I still dont understand how anything can jump through those holes, though, it will probably always remain a mystery to mankind .

Those holes are a crab's best friend too and it usually doesn't take them long to find the those holes either. Little do they know they aren't really a friend but a trip to death if you have a cat around the house like I do.

I love my shrimp all I have atm is ghost shrimp and for some reason none of the LFS carry anything else. I have to travel about an hour out of town to a Petsmart before I can something other than ghost shrimp which they carry marble shrimp at Petsmart. They are huge shrimp when compared to my ghost shrimp. I would love to get some but not till I upgrade out of my 15 gallon tank. ><
