Hi and welcome to the forums. Hope you get lots of lovely fish and have fun. This site is really friendly and informative.

:hi: to the forum.

There's two ways of looking at it:
If you can keep the tank at temps around 65F and you have good filtration, room, and you do frequent maintenance, it should work. lus, goldfish are very hardy.
Other view:
Very messy, so you need to clean up after them more often. They also get to about 8", if not moe, so they need big tanks.

Ok. So, from now on, if you have any questions, the beginners section is the best place to ask them. ;)

Glad to see you joined us, and you should be able to find lots of answers here. :D

:hi: welcome to the forums.

Goldfish are actually harder to keep than some of the tropicals, as has been said they get big and are messy. I hate to see them in bags at fairs, but they still do it. Heard good things about wharf aquatics, my fave is Maidenhead aquatics, think they have a branch near you, google it.

Anyway, look forward to speaking to you in the forums.

Merry Christmas.

Jon
