UPDATE:

after almost 2 week's the plants have grown out a little. im having a little problem with diatoms. but iv not been dosing liquid carbon.
iv got a drop checker coming from hong kong to see my CO2 level's. and my 3 diy bottle's are working well (at the moment)
iv set up a small experiment of the amount of time it takes for bubbles to come out of a 4th bottle. so i know when to change mine (counting each day over a 5 min period how many bubbles come from 1 bottle.

update:
i decided to plant more HC and have a little change around let me know what you think also the aponogeton crispus has sent off a flower. good sign?

UPDATE:
finally i have blue peal shrimp (early birthday present), granted its 3 males. so i need to up the stocking of them very soon
also the cripus has sent out another flower stalk. now i'll let the pictures do the talking for how the tank's looking now

how can you get fissidens fontanus to grow nicely? its surviving in there buts not thriving

Plenty of light mate and CO2, oh some good flow helps too, if you already have this then give it time.

Please show a photo of your DIY yeast CO2 set up. Do you connect it to your filter outlet or do you put it directly from the bottle into the tank?

Very very impressive mike! It reminds me of my iaplc entery.

This is my fave tank on here, very well done mate, and I admire your patience with this tank.

co2 system as requested:

the bottles with a 1 way valve on each to keep pressure of any of the other bottles when changing them

and the defuser... well fag filter in a pipe (cheep and effective)
