High Ph

What fish will live happily in high ph water? Ours is 8.2. I've only got endlers, platys and bettas and getting a bit bored with the tanks and would like more variety. Before I tested the ph I bought honey gouramis and a blue ram which didn't survive which I now know is probably due to the ph level.

Ponyo, great movie by the way. African cichlids and central American cichlids like a higher pH. As do most livebearers and a lot of the rainbow fish. Really just depends on how large your aquarium is.

Any of the common livebearers will do fine in your water. I would avoid things like rams, Cories, angels and similar South American fish.
