New to forum, we are looking to become 1st timers in tropical fish keeping.
 
Looking for general advice & especially a prod in the right direction at which shop/supplier to go to. We are in Notts / Lincs area.
 
At the moment we have bought nothing!! Trying to get info first. Like the look of the oak tanks, any alternatives to Maidenhead? (Like them, just wondering?)

If your yet to add any fish make sure you check out the beginners resource section and read up on a fishless cycle I cant stress how important this process is and it is so easy and simple compared to adding fish straight away
 
As for good fish shops to check out - your in Nottingham so you have one of the best shops on your door step - Wharf Aquatics in Pinxton. I am from Hull and go to it quite often probably half my tank is from there now lol!!

Good on you for doing your research first! It is one of the places most beginners slip up in, they go to their LFS, buy a tank, run it for a day and add a bunch of fish. They then wonder why all their fish are dying on them. So, good on you for researching first.
