Hi there could anyone help my 12 inch plec and the past few weeks he is spending alot of time at the top of the tank, my othere plec is about 8 inches and he is fine !!!
Would be very grateful if anyone could help ....

well how big is your tank since you have a foot long common pleco in there???

what other inhabitants are there in your tank?
what filtration do you have?
what is your maintenance rooutine?

The above people have valid concerns for the well-being of the fish.

It is not uncommon for some pleco species to spend much time around the top of the tank if they do not have a suitable cave. I recommend that you consider adding an appropriately sized cave or two for each size of pleco.

or maybe a railway bridge for a hornby set, thats what little brothers are for
