Well i purchased some hi-fin bronze cories today only 2 as i only had a limited amount of "spending money" but i will be getting some more next week hopefully. If these breed will i be able to try and raise the fry? If so how hard is it? If i eventually manage to raise some to adulthood does anyone want any? Sorry about the qeustions.

might be interested is there a pic of the adults

Can't get a very good pic because they don't sit still.
I have a small video of them sifting through the sand it's quite blurry though.

Like i said it depends on if they breed and if i can raise them to juvi stage or older. Because you can't really see them properly in that video i will try and get a sneaky pic while they are distracted. I don't know how but i will get a pic.

I've been raising some albino fry for the past few weeks and it's a lot of work but so rewarding to see them grow. I've been doing water changes (almost) every day and syphoning all of the gunk out of the breeding nets with airline tube with a chopstick cable tied to one end to keep it rigid. I've had numerous mouthfuls of crappy fish water as it's harder to start the syphon with the thin tube  It's hard to see them for the first couple of weeks and I managed to suck one up in the syphon but he was fine. I spotted him wriggling around in the bucket so scoooped him in a cup and put him back. I feed the fry in the morning with "tetra baby" mixed with water in a test tube so it sinks. Then in the evening they have defrosted baby brine shrimp which they seem to really like. Good luck.

Ok thanks for the info if they breed i will try this.
Basically they look the same as normal bronze corys but they have really long flowing tail and dorsal fins also 1 of mine has longer pectoral fins aswell.

Thanks harlequins. How many batches of fry have you raised from yours?
I hear they are hard to raise is this true? On a scale of 1-10 (10 being hard, 1 being easy) how hard is it to raise cory fry? These questions are only a precaution for incase they do breed. They only get to about 1 1/2 inches so quite small.

My trilineatus spawn small clutches of eggs every week or so,lately its been hard to keep fry alive in the breeding tank no matter what i do,so i now have put the 8 remaining fry in a breeding net i the main tank,
99.9% of eggs hatched, which is the easy part, but has others will tell you its keeping them alive thats hard...so i rate this 10
Since i started raising cories i have 7 juvi's in the main tank with another juvi due to go in within a week or so :) not a vast amount, but i'm still proud i got them this far :)

And they are going with how many others?!?!
You have to many corys to keep track of harlequins and thank you for rating it, this will help me alot and yes i may have a couple of batches dying (or most of them dying) before i get it right.

The eldest 4 juvi's are 6 months old now and are nearly has big has the adults :)

Its definately trial & error raising them...

Well it's not going to be easy and i know that but i will try my best and will update this thread regularly maybe not everyday but every other day.
