My angels dont bother my cardinals at all but then the cardinals were about a year old when I moved them into the Angels tank so there prob to big to become chowder.
Welcome to the site my friend, it truly is a great place to be
Sideboard is out I reckon, don't risk wasting your money on a tank to have it smash to bits on the floor.
If your handy at all you can make one for around £40 rather than buy one for £100. There are guides on the internet how.
Community set up would be awesome for your first try, hardy fish that will help you to overcome a mistakes you will inevitably make, as we all have.
My advice to you is plant the tank heavy to help deal with the water level chemistry until you understand how to manipulate these accordingly. it will come in time, you just need to make things as easy as possible while your learning the basics mate
Good morning and welcome! Get a stand for your tank or make one. I just set up a 55 gallon, 4x1x1.5. I used 6 cement blocks and 2 2x8s. I probably could have gotten away with just 4 blocks, but it is in my granson's bedroom, so better safe, than sorry. When I need to figure the weight of a tank, I figure the weight at about 12 pounds per gallon. That should cover gravel tank and stand.
