Hey, looking forward to getting advice on everything aquariums here. I used to have several tanks running and just recently after stopping for about 10 years have caught the aquarium bug again. I currently have a planted 40 gallon breeder with a pair of german blue rams, 1 albino bristlenose pleco and about 15 endlers. I'm planning on adding a pair of Apisto borellis and another bristlenose to the tank in the near future. I have a second tank (10 gallon) in the works about to be cycled that will house a betta and hopefully of it isn't too aggressive, a bunch of cherry and blue velvet shrimp. In the works I am also acquiring, from a friend, a long 48 gallon, that I have already started a post on. I am unsure of what it will house besides the plants it will come with. Look forward to chatting with you all.

Hello and welcome to the forum! :hi:

Would love to see picture of your tank! :fish:

Hi! Thanks!
I don't quite have my tank where I want it to be, but this is it so far. Along with a pic of my German blue rams. The plants took a bit of a hit when I put them in but they are finally starting to grow back.

Your rams look great! :good:
I'm not 100% about the addition of a breeding pair of apistos, but thats not the point of this thread!
Welcome :hi::fish:

Thank you!
Don't think it would be enough space? The breeder I got the rams from thought they should be fine, but I also have another tank in the works so could also pop them in there if it didn't work out.

Thank you!

I don't think it would work :/. Having 2 pairs of bottom dwelling cichlids that can spawn sounds like a recipe for disaster. You would probably need a very large tank for that. I'd put them in their own tank, it will be better for spawning because they won't be as stressed!

That's fair. I will get the other pair for the other tank. Thank you for your thoughts.

Your tank looks nice, we are never completely satisfied with how our tanks look, I am always adjusting or adding something to my tanks. :good:
