Well, im just going to explain a bit about my tank, and it would be great to tell me what you think!

So its a 210L Bow fronted Tank, With reaaaaly neat Lights very powerful filter with about 13sponges, 8live plants, Rocks which i have Hand Picked around the world, It looks very natural. Ive put a web cam in the tank and ill start streaming it live to the web.

I did have a betta but it died today, but i get a new free one,

But now ive got

6tetras (i plan to get more)
5 Corydoras(1panda 2 Peppered and 2 others)

The gravel i use it quite rounded with one or two sharp edges, but not the stupid dyed stuff.

Ive got a airpump so i have one air stone and one air strip thingy, but we removed msot of the power from it because it was too strong,

Today i did about an 8L switch and i added some stuff to take away the chlorine, and the fungal infection which killed my Betta which was named Brain,

hey, Ill make him a gravestone :shifty:

Ill get a few pics soon.

What fish do you suggest ive only got a very limited choice because we live in a small town called wick about 120Miles from the nearest city, but we do have a pets at Home, but they don't have the best selection but whatever i ask for they get for me!

I was thinking of some more amazing and exotic fish, that are fun to look at and active.

Thanks

Tomi

i'm still new, but i've learned a bit and i've got some questions and comments to throw in

thats what, about 55 US gallons?

based on the name, i'm guessing it was a male betta? how'd you get it to get along with the tetras? and what kind of tetras?

sounds like plenty of room for some more fish though. are you testing the ammonia and nitrite levels? maybe slowly add some more tropical community fish if they dont fluctuate

Yea, Im testing we have got a little bit over normal ammonia levels, because of the dead fish,

Yea it was a male betta which died,

Tetras in the UK don't go after the bettas, even at the store they keep about 200Tetras with one betta, and nothing goes wrong.

What fish do you suggest, we can't get guppys , what about live bearers?

A first question is whether or not the tank has fully cycled. If it has, you should not see any ammonia or nitrites in the water at all. Even a fish dying should only affect the water locally near the fish, not the whole tank. At about 55 gallons, a single small fish should not give an ammonia reading in a cycled tank.
Once the tank is properly cycled, you could add livebearers, including guppies if you could get them. Another good companion for small aquarium fish would be to expand your cories to groups of 5 or 6 each. A mix like you have will never interact the way a group of 6 of the same species would. They will do cleanup duty for food that gets to the tank bottom but will not be the delight that they are in larger numbers. Bettas are also not monsters in the US but because they get called fighters, people think of them as aggressive fish and are afraid to let them share a tank the way that I do. I cannot afford to keep a tank set aside for a single male betta, I only have so much room for fish so bettas get to share tanks with other peaceful fish. I do avoid putting them with fast swimming nippy fish because they are not very fast. Nippy fish find the flowing fins to be too much temptation.
Other fish suggestions include any of the smaller tetras like cardinals or emperor tetras. rasboras also make great fish for a peaceful tank of small fish.
If you wanted something a bit unusual, you could look into the Limias as a possibility. Many of them are nice small community species.

for 210L tank you may keep 12 neon and cardinal tetra, few danios and platy and 4 cory....
