That Vallis is nothing.I swear i've removed about 2 dozen stems in the last 2 weeks trying to rid the algae.Funnily enough the back of the tank looks way better now it's been thinned out.

Original plan was to slowly remove it for other stuff, but think i'm now going to embrace the whole 'jungle thing'.

Might have to leave the whole scaping thing for my next project.........

edit:think i'll let him off with 'Rio', might have to borrow some ideas from his 'underwater jungle' feature.

I really like this tank - my moss has definitely gone up in the world

That Vallis curtain at the back is splendid. I am very envious 'cos all it does in my tanks is sit and sulk and refuse to grow a millimetre, even with all the light, CO2 and ferts I throw at it. And I even have moderately hard/hard water which it's supposed to like Oh well.

I liked the flowerpot, by the way In very structured scapes I don't think human artefacts work, but in such a natural setting as this, I think they can. Don't laugh but I find a certain romance about apparently abandoned items underwater - as long as we're not talking old boots or Spongebob Squarepants ornaments Probably harks back to childhood dreams of treasure troves in shipwrecks. Or something. Anyway, a bit of aged terracotta gives a nice splash of orange amongst all the green as well, in my opinion. Or it would if it were still there

Ha, thanks, nice post, and don't worry about the rambling, i've spent most of the time doing just that on this thread.
your moss has gone a lot further up in the world now that the cotton has rotted off completely, time for some fishing line.
The pot was only ever really there while i introduced the Bolivians.Maybe i should think about reintroducing.

Trouble is i need the space for more stems
