If there were eggs, you simply don't have 2 males! lol

Can you post pictures of your fish?

Even if you have a pair, they need to be seperated as the female shouldn't stay in with the male after spawning and both sound stressed anyway.

edit:
Here are some pics (from google) that might help you sex your fish:

http://badmanstropicalfish.com/profiles/sbs_paradis2.jpg - male
http://www.igl-home.de/opercularis.jpg - male with nest
http://www.catfish.cz/fotky/macropodus/72-tr.jpg - pair embracing - the male is the one with more blue
http://perso.infonie.be/pomacea/macropodus...rcularisCP2.jpg - male
http://filaman.ifm-geomar.de/images/species/Maope_u9.jpg - beautiful male
http://www.wetwebmedia.com/Anabantoids/Mac...ercularisAQ.jpg - female (note that this one is also rather plump with eggs)
http://www.aqualandpetsplus.com/Gourami,%20Paradise.htm - many pics, most say what sex the fish are. Note that the 'black paradisefish' here are Macropodus concolor (the name has changed a few times BTW so you'll find it under various synonyms as well) - not Macropodus opercularis.

Good news the gouramis colour is back, as for the spawning, they have given up, no more violent gestures etc, they are being well behaved, i honestly don't know what them yellow blobs were :S

And i can't send any pictures as i don't have credit on my mobile (not got digi cam)

From the pictures you posted i may have 2 males but i can't confirm that ( these are my first gouramis) stupid aqaurium said they would b fine with other fish, what a joke :X

As for seperating them i can't really win they either chomp on each others fins or basically kill an entire tank of coldwater fish, if anyone wants them and lives near or in manchester please do say so, would rather give to a home who can care for them better than myself than sent them down the porceline express.

Just so you are aware, flushing these fish would be a stupid thing to do. Usualy, flushing fish is simply irresponsible - with paradisefish it is downright stupid - these are some of the hardiest fish around and very tolerant of a huge temperature range. You'd actualy be seriously risking the introduction of a non-native species to (I presume) England. I don't mean this as a personal attack on you - you probably didn't even mean that literally - but, you know, 'for the record' :)

As I was saying - these are very tolerant fish. If you have a small bowl or tank (well, not too small) you could move one into there and it could be kept without a heater or filter provided you did regular water changes (and use old gravel from the mature tank to ensure an instant cycle) and as long as the tank's at around room temperature. It also helps to reduce feeding while the bacteria responsible for maintaining the 'cycle' become established and rise to the demands placed on them. This isn't ideal but it may actualy be the 'lesser of two evils' considering that two male paradisefish will, almost inevitably, eventualy kill each other (not necessarily directly I should add) ;p
If you can get hold of one, you could instead use one of those plastic storage boxes as a tank. I use these all the time for breeding and raising gourami fry and they work perfectly. Not only can you get them in all sorts of sizes (I've used full-sized bins before), they are also beautifuly cheap! As long as they are considered 'food-safe' and you can come up with some sort of makeshift lid to prevent suicides, they'd work a treat. Again, you have the choice of using a heater/filter in these but make sure you do use gravel from an established tank (and use de-chlorinated water when filling it up as well!) to ensure an instant cycle.
Another alternative would be to simply buy a divider for the tank your two paradisefish are in currently - that's probably the simplest solution in fact.
Obviously, you could also return one of the fish to your LFS. They won't usualy turn them down... unless you demand a refund.

I would never flush a live fish it is just really annoying me that they are shredding eachother, ah well shall have to find a place which sells tank divider, was thinkin bout buyin one yesterday but dint have any money, the tank i have them in now is a *starter tank* for tropical fish but removed the heater... so will i have to measure it etc?

I would measure it just in case they don't know which tank you have. Make sure the divider you buy is tall enough to prevent the fish jumping over the barrier and that it allows water flow. Remember to take the inside dimensions BTW! :p I'm also rpetty sure there should be some DIY devider scheme somewhere :p Try a google search and also search teh forum - especialy the DIY section and betta section.

I took one of my males back, and he gave me a refund, i bought two females and the male is ok now :) i got a gravel net so when the females lay eggs i can seperate then using the long net :)

:D a happy tank at last
