OH NO HELP IM CRYING MY BETTA IS DYING AT THE TOP IHE IS LOSING HIS COLOR TO WHITE AT THE TOP BY HIS MOUTH

how is he acting? heavy breathing? any fluffy spots? we know your water isn't the best that could be a major factor. have his fins been attacked?

no he just has a bit of white his mouth is facing up he just seems to be nearly floating cant see bad signs of breathing

fins fine

he could just be chilling out. does he look ill? are his eyes looking healthy?

what does this white look like? spots? fluffy? just pale colouration?

edit: is he floating on his side? or just sitting normal in the water?

no hes not chilling out he was like this at lunch time
his color just seems to have gone white
his eyes i cnt tell there blended into him

bettas do change colour, and if you bear in mind the bad condition of your water, he's probably just becoming more and more stressed out.

you need to fix your water situation asap!

did you manage to get water conditioner? do you have a spare tank or anything?

i couldent get a conditioer i oput that water in at lunchtime
i have a coldwater tank NO tropical :(:)( wat am i going to do

if the water is room temperature its warm enough
can you go to the LFS now?

you can help, but you NEED water conditioner!

by not using it there are a lot of toxins going into your fish that WILL kill it.

ok i just rang and explained the situation they dont know nothing about bettas water conditioners coming in tomorow
ahh
water is good temp

is this the only LFS you can get to? no other alternatives? where abouts are you in the world?

edit: can you get a picture of your betta and post it up? and your tank set up?

also some LFS's, including mine don't call betta's betta's, so if you ask about them they'll be like "wha?" then as soon as you mention it's a siamese fighter they'll getcha.

yes i live in a village in cheshire that only has 1 my next one is like 40-50miles away:(

i saod simese fighter fish

do you have a thermometer on your tank? like one you stick on the glass? also, when you go and pick up the water conditioner ask the LFS if they'd test your water for you, some will some won't, but it saves you spending a ton of money on test kits. If they say yes, take a little sample in a sandwich bag to them and they can let you know where you're going wrong, and where you are in the cycling process.

my temp reads 80 f i have had it off the heater all night on all mornig
he has his eyes shut until i got him in the net and put im back they were open with like a light white thing over them

right
he comes out the water for air is right

i dont know some is some isnt
