We bought these fish yesterday and they were labelled as khuli loaches. I have not seen this variation but thought okay maybe its abother colour variation. They seem to be very very active. Like nonstop. This video will explain further. Now all I want to kniw is, is this khuli loaches and why are they swimming in circles??

They look like kuhli loaches to me. There are many different patterns, including plain.

They are probably swimming like that because they are stressed. They have just been moved from the shop tank to your brother's tank, which is a stressful experience, and they now have to get used to their new home.
The video shows just two. Are there any more? These are shoaling fish, needing to be in a group of at least six. If there are just the two, this is another reason for them being stressed.

No there is 5

That's a lot better than 2. As I could only see two in the video, I wanted to make sure :)

Cool another thing can the diifferent kuli colours go together?

According to Seriously Fish there are several different species of kuhli loach http://www.seriouslyfish.com/species/search/pangio Not all the species will be sold in shops but it interesting to look at them all.
I would try to stick to the same species as they would be happier in groups of their own kind.

Okay thanks[emoji106]

Just to add, you should get some chunks of wood for hiding places. Loaches do not like being out and exposed, and that will continue to be a problem here. A few chunks of Malaysian Driftwood, or something artificial that provides caves will work, but wood is natural to the fish and the best for this.

Byron.

Do you have a tight fitting lid on the tank? You need one Kuhlis are great escape artists.

Is your tank cycled.

I see guppies in the tank, Do you have hard or soft water? Kuhlis prefer soft water and they need lots of places to hide.

Those are the "black" color form, I've got 3 myself with a banded kuhli (couldn't find any other banded ones). You should definitely add more cover, they are feeling stressed which is why they are doing that. When I first added mine they did the same thing but quickly calmed down in their heavily planted tank. Now they never hide and often rest on the plant leaves and among the stems.
