I'm feeling really frustrated with my tanks at the moment and have nothing to point to as being "wrong". I suspect it is still a knock on effect of the severe ich I had a couple months back and resulting weak health.
So... some history.... I have a bad hard to treat outbreak in my platy tank. My platy tank held all but one of my platies (the grumpy one was in the community tank since she couldn't get along with her own kind). As of 2 weeks after the ich was cleared and nothing re-occurred I moved my Mickey Mouse platy into the community because she was turning into a bully. As a direct result of the ich outbreak I lost several platy fry and 2 adult female platy. I have since re-homed the other platy fry. Just today I lost my Mickey Mouse platy which I suspect to be due to weakness from the ich treatment.
What I have now....
Community tank, 20 gallons, housing 6 female guppies, 1 female platy (who was never involved in the ich fiasco), 9 neons (I've started losing neons again to NTD), and some cherry shrimp and assassin snails.
Platy tank, 10 gallons, contains 4 juvenile platies (one not far off adult size).
QUESTION 1 - Would you consider my community tank to be fully stocked?
QUESTION 2 - Is this a good plan or no, opinions please.... I was thinking of moving my 4 younger platies into the community tank and maybe getting a betta for my 10 gallon. Is this a good plan? Or, should I leave my 4 platies as they are in the 10 gallon... they all get along well with no bickering.
