nah I think the scolofi is too rounded in compared to yours....

Maybe, though it looks almost identicle. Its definitely not an albino Yellow Lab (L.Caeurlus), I've had them before and they're a completely different shape to this guy and it doesn't have the black dorsal fin like the albino Labs have.

I think I'm sticking with what I have found so far... Anyone else have any thoughts? What do you think KJ?

OH MY GOD! I just managed to positively ID fish number two from my original post......

Just take a look at the first"subadult female" picture from the "Images" drop down... GULP! it is EXACTLY what my little fish looks like...

13.5" adult size... Although it does say its peaceful...

When it's not eating smaller fish At least you have some time to rehome it.

Babies sleeping and the other 2 kids are playing outside. I have some time so I'll look at the shape/angles of the albino.

By the way KJ, your journal on setting up and sorting out your 125g Malawi tank was very helpful and informative. Even after keeping fish for quite a long time, there is always something to learn, thanks.

Thanks. I'm not to thrilled w/it yet, though. I love the fish, just not my decor. I am still changing it up though

I'd vote for the pseudotropheus socolofi. It looks very similar and I think they are more widely available which would make them more of a possibility.

I'm leaning toward it not being an albino lab.

Thanks KJ. I think I'm sticking with the Pseudotropheus Scolafi for now. It looks very similar to what I have; colour, head shape, general appearance...

I'm also certain that the other one is Dimidiochromis kiwinge, just that if it does get to 13.5" I'll have to move it into its own room!
